7、nomic, political and ideological changes appeared. Jane Austen created six novels about realism. The Emma is particularly well-known work of her. She has portrayed the pursuit, loss and pain of the heroine Emma, which may accurately portray reality. The heroine Emma Woodhouse is always described in
8、the center of the personality,makes Emma an attractive work. However, she is not a perfect lady, and she has merit and defect. In the novel, she always makes mistakes. When her subjective wishes conflict with the world again and again, it forces her to cognize herself all over again, then she makes
9、a choice between right and wrong, and perfect herself accordingly. Ultimately, her cognition has improved, her characters has become mature and her moral has upgraded. Jane Austin formed a womens social reality and a unique understanding of the relationship between social reality and female. She lived in a male based society. With the role and status of women to be co
12、ncerned, the images of women have emerged in a growing number of literary works. At the same time, her works also help women survive in their own environment, and has provided tendency towards struggling for womens growing self-consciousness.Many of Jane Austens protagonists are females. Emma is one
13、 of her masterpieces. In the novel, the heroine Emma Woodhouse is beautiful, clever and rich, There are three people in her family: her Father-Mr Woodhouse, her governess-Miss Taylor and her. Mr Woodhouse loves his only daughter Emma very much. Therefore, he allows her to do everything she likes to.
