In this period of time, the British social, economic, political and ideological changes appeared. Jane Austen took social relations as her writin

Jane Austin formed a womens social reality and a unique understanding of the relationship between social reality and female. She lived in a male based society. With the role and status of women to be co

12、ncerned, the images of women have emerged in a growing number of literary works. At the same time, her works also help women survive in their own environment, and has provided tendency towards struggling for womens growing self-consciousness.Many of Jane Austens protagonists are females. Emma is one

13、 of her masterpieces. In the novel, the heroine Emma Woodhouse is beautiful, clever and rich, There are three people in her family: her Father-Mr Woodhouse, her governess-Miss Taylor and her. Mr Woodhouse loves his only daughter Emma very much. Therefore, he allows her to do everything she likes to.

28、ul, charming, gentle but not assertive. In the eyes of Harriet, Emma is such a prominent celebrity of Hatfield, which Harriets only desire is to accept the guidance of a superior. She hopes to establish the contact with the middle class, especially rich men to marry, so that she can change her way o

29、f life. Therefore, consciously or unconsciously, Emma believes that Harriet should obey her absolutely. In the eyes of Emma, Robert Martin is just a vulgar farmer; his wife would also be an uneducated farmers daughter. She believes that Harriet and Martin come from different classes. In order to sep

In addition, once a persons love and need to be recognized, it naturally followed by an obligation. She also learned her feelings and her own things,

36、 the feelings in a high speed as an arrow to penetrate her heart. She believes that Mr. Knightley can not get married to other people, and he can marry to her only!
